How it came together
The setup
A textile retailer was running three brand collections through one tired storefront. Collections that deserved their own narrative were sharing a category page.
The challenge
Give each brand collection its own story without forking the codebase or duplicating product data.

- Brand landing pages must feel hand-built

Trade-offs we made
- Skipped a CMS. Collection config edits are JSON in the repo. Fast to ship, slower for non-devs.
- No internationalization yet. Single-region launch first.

Brand pages as data
Each collection landing page is configured, not coded. Editorial controls layout; engineering does not redeploy for a banner change.
Vitest from day one
Cart math, filter logic, and zod schemas covered by Vitest. Refactors stop being scary.
